Introduction

The Flooring document type is part of the Property Management Solution module. It is used to define different types of flooring used in property units, along with their descriptions. This setup document allows property managers to standardize flooring types across units and properties, ensuring that records are maintained consistently.

1. Purpose of the "Flooring" DocType

The Flooring DocType helps in managing:

Flooring Type (e.g., Wooden, Tiled, Carpet).

  • Description: Additional information about the flooring type.

  • This allows property managers to categorize and document the flooring details for different units or properties, ensuring efficient tracking and reference for future use.

2. Key Fields and Definitions

The "Flooring" document contains the following fields:

Flooring Type (unique):

  • Description: This field is used to define the type of flooring (e.g., Wooden, Marble, Carpet, Tiles).

  • Unique Field: Each flooring type must be unique, ensuring no duplicates in the system.

Description:

  • Description: A short description or additional information about the flooring type (e.g., "Durable, slip-resistant tiles" or "Luxurious oak wood").

3. Document Management

3.1 Creating a New Flooring Entry

To create a new flooring type in the system:

  • Navigate to the Flooring document in the Property Management Solution module.

  • Click the New button. Enter the following information:

Flooring Type: Provide the name/type of flooring (e.g., Wooden, Tiles).

Description: Optionally provide a short description for the flooring type.

  • Save the document to create a new entry in the system.

The Flooring DocType is part of the Property Management Solution module and is mainly used by property managers and administrators responsible for managing property details such as flooring types.

This document is part of the Setup process and helps standardize data across properties, ensuring that the correct flooring types are used consistently across units and properties.
