Withholding Tax Summary on Sales (Properties)

Introduction

This custom report, Withholding Tax Summary on Sales (Properties), is designed to track withholding tax on sales invoices related to properties. The report is part of the Property Management Solution module in ERPNext. It generates a summary of withholding tax applied to sales invoices over a specified period, including details like customer names, property leases, voucher numbers, and the amount of withholding tax deducted.

Key Features

Purpose of the Report

  • This report summarizes the withholding tax applied on sales invoices, specifically related to properties, within a defined date range.

  • It helps to track withholding tax rates and amounts on sales made within that period.

Filters The report provides two date filters:

  • From Date: The starting date of the report. By default, it is set to one month before the current date.

  • To Date: The ending date of the report. By default, it is set to the current date.

The report's SQL query fetches relevant data from the Sales Invoice and Sales Invoice Item tables.

The key details retrieved include the following:

  • Posting Date: Date of the sales invoice.

  • Customer Name: The customer associated with the sales invoice.

  • Particulars: The item name in the sales invoice item.

  • Voucher No: The reference number of the sales invoice.

  • Property (Lease): The property or lease associated with the sales invoice.

  • Period: The service period associated with the sales invoice item.

  • Amount: The base net amount of the sales invoice item.

  • Withholding Tax: The calculated withholding tax based on the withholding tax rate applied to the sales invoice item.

  • Control Number: TRA control number or withholding tax certificate number (if available).

  • TIN Number: The tax identification number associated with the sales invoice or the customer.

Prepared Report

The report supports on-demand generation (it is not a prepared report), which means the data is retrieved and processed in real-time when the report is run.
